On-site record retrieval at the FamilySearch Library and other Northern Utah repositories for materials not available online.

I provide on-site document retrieval and targeted record searches at the FamilySearch Library and other Northern Utah repositories. This service is ideal for researchers who need access to materials not available online, including books, microfilm, archival collections, manuscript materials, and local records.

Services May Include:

  • Book and microfilm lookups

  • Digital images of requested pages

  • Targeted searches within specified collections

  • Verification of citations or source references

  • Brief research summaries, if requested

What You Will Receive:

  • Digital images of retrieved materials

  • Complete source information for citation purposes

  • Clear communication regarding search results

  • Notification if requested materials cannot be located

Rates:

$20 per hour (one-hour minimum)

Travel to Provo and other local repositories is available upon request. Travel time may be billed accordingly.

Verity Johnson is a Northern Utah–based genealogist specializing in archival record retrieval and targeted research. She works regularly at the FamilySearch Library and is familiar with other local repositories, including the Church History Library and the Utah State Archives.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Family History and Genealogy from Brigham Young University-Provo. Verity is committed to the careful handling of materials, efficient use of research time, and clear, consistent communication with clients.
